Why can't I access the internet from home when using the UniSA Corporate VPN?

When setting up the UniSA Corporate VPN there is an option to route all traffic through the remote gateway (in this case the it is the UniSA Corporate VPN), when this is enabled you will not be able to access the internet unless you are using UniSA's web proxy.

If you want to continue routing all traffic through the UniSA Corporate VPN and want to also be able to browse the internet you will need to manually set your proxy settings. See the following web link

To stop all traffic being routed through the UniSA network you will firstly need to open the UniSA Corporate VPN but do not click connect until you have followed the instructions below.

 Step 1: Configure additional connection properties

  Click on the Properties tab

Step 2: Selecting the Internet Protocol

  Click on the networking tab
  Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
  Click Properties
 

Step 3: Configuring the Advanced Internet Protocol Properties

  Click Advanced

Step 4: Selecting to use the University Internet or your
own Internet

  Un-tick the "use default gateway on remote network" box
