How can I tell which version of Windows I am running?

There are several options to check which version of Windows you are running, we have provided the two most common options.

Option One

Right click the My Computer icon on your desktop.

Select Properties from the drop down list.

The Operating System and Service Pack level will be shown under the System: section, indicated by the red rectangle above.

Option Two

Right click the start button and select Explore.  This will open the Windows Explorer window. 

Go the Help menu and select About Windows.
