How can I set Office 2007 to save as 2003 format by default?

You can set some Office 2007 applications to save as 2003 format by default.

To do this open the relevant application.

Click on the Office Button

Select Options

In Word this would be the Word Options button
In Excel this would be the Excel Options button
In PowerPoint this would be the PowerPoint Options button

Select Save from the left hand menu and set the Save files in this format: drop down box to be one of the following:

To change the default file format for Access 2007 to 2002-2003:

Click on the Office Button and select Access Options.

Click Popular on the left hand menu and change the Default file format to Access 2002-2003.
