Connecting to UniSA from Off-Campus via the Internet

If you want to use the Internet to connect to internal resources at UniSA then you will need to set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN) between your off-campus PC and the UniSA network. The VPN is a combination of hardware and software that provides a secure link between your PC and the UniSA network.

Please Note: If you are using the University's Dial Up service you do not need to connect through the Corporate VPN.

To connect via a VPN you will need:

  1. A computer running Microsoft Windows (98, NT, ME, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, Vista), Linux, or Mac OSX
  2. An internet connection (e.g. broadband ADSL, modem, hotel internet connection)
  3. Up-to-date virus protection (refer to the Staff or Student security pages for more information)
  4. VPN setup information, which can be found on the VPN User Guides and Software web page.
