Connecting to UniSA from Off-Campus via the Internet
If you want to use the Internet to connect to internal resources at UniSA then you will need to set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN) between your off-campus PC and the UniSA network. The VPN is a combination of hardware and software that provides a secure link between your PC and the UniSA network.
Please Note: If you are using the University's Dial Up service you do not need to connect through the Corporate VPN.
To connect via a VPN you will need:
- A computer running Microsoft Windows (98, NT, ME, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, Vista), Linux, or Mac OSX
- An internet connection (e.g. broadband ADSL, modem, hotel internet connection)
- Up-to-date virus protection (refer to the Staff or Student security pages for more information)
- VPN setup information, which can be found on the
VPN User Guides and Software web page.
