ISTS contributes to the University's Strategic goals and objectives by providing:

core underlying communication services such as data networks, telephone systems, e-mail, and access to the internet,

on campus computing access points for students in the form of computer pools, barns and walk ups,

an IT Help Desk to assist students and staff to make best use of the University's ICT environment,

technical support and development of the systems which comprise the University's teaching and learning environment including UniSAnet, the staff and student portal and the corporate web,

policies, procedures and guidelines for the use of information technology within the university,

highly reliable central server and storage infrastructure,

technical support and development of the computer systems which facilitate the University's core administrative processes, including the student information system, the research management system, the human resource system and the finance system.
