What we do
The
ISST team works towards achieving the following
three key objectives:
-
To build on the existing collaborative links between core research undertaken in Agricultural Machinery Research Design, Building and Planning Studies, Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Sustainable Energy, Sustainable Design and Manufacturing Research Group, and Transport Systems, to develop an integrated research capability that is able to conduct multi-disciplinary research programs, to match the needs of our communities and to build on our strengths in advanced systems and technologies
-
To develop new research directions in Sustainable Human Settlements from our foundation of advanced systems and technologies. In the course of the next five years we intend to establish our credibility in environmental sustainability in the national and international arenas, to complement our substantial existing credibility in our specific disciplines
-
To develop frameworks to foster stronger links with other elements of UniSA research capability relating to sustainability. We also seek to establish a framework to build effective links with researchers from outside the university who have strengths in social and economic sustainability.
