
An industry forum for the CSIRO Intelligent Grid Cluster program was conducted in the Bradley Forum, Hawke Building, City West Campus 4/5 December 2008. This Cluster is a major three year collaborative research venture between the CSIRO and five of Australia's leading universities under the CSIRO Energy Transformed Flagship. This forum was an opportunity to hear from the Intelligent Grid Cluster researchers as well as Government and Industry leaders. The 2-day event commenced with an optional field trip to Lochiel Park Green Development hosted by the Land Management Corporation. International Green Build, Design and Technology Show conducted at the
Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. This
international trade show had a focus on green building, sustainable design
and clean technology. Today we are part of a global community
connected through economic, technological, socio political and ecological
systems. Now, more than ever, the choices we make at home and at work
impact not only our own welfare but also the welfare of people in distant
lands and future generations. Sustainable development is a social
process that involves technological innovation.
