
Dr John Boland is Leader of the
Environmental Modelling Research Group in CIAM. He has extensive
experience in the development of methodologies for the increased
utilisation of renewable energy sources. In the recent past, these have
included various aspects of the commercialisation and integration of
these technologies into the conventional delivery systems. Included in

Additionally, he is actively involved in ecological modelling projects. He was principal supervisor for Lynne McArthur in her PhD project on “Quantification of the Relationship Between Fish Populations and Seagrass “. He is a member of the CRC for Desert Knowledge and has won funding from that body (with Dr. Fleur Tiver, Natural and Built Environments) for the project “A mathematical-ecological model with flexible computer implementation for sustainable management of shrublands”.
