Jing Gao

Jing Gao

When Jing Gao left China for South Australia to study in 1997, he was prepared for a life-changing experience. Eight years and three UniSA degrees later, it has proven so rewarding that he is staying in Adelaide to work as a university lecturer and to pursue a promising research career.

"The University of South Australia has a lot of industry links and offers great flexibility in terms of study," he says. “Many staff members have worked in industry too, so they have practical experience and can offer valuable assistance to students.

"Also, from what I’ve seen, the University of South Australia has excellent facilities compared to other universities - it has the latest equipment, and very convenient access to the internet and the library’s online database."

"I didn’t ever think I would be doing all these things,” says Jing. “If you’re looking for a career, flexibility, and for more applied and practical rather than theoretical study options, come to the University of South Australia – it’s a young, passionate and energetic university."

Jing Gao
