For assistance with accepting your offer, deferring your offer or arriving late to UniSA, please email us.
Step 1 - The offer letter
Check the offer letter carefully to make sure that all sections are correct:
- Name and address
- Program name
- Campus
- Duration of study
- Credit
- Conditions
- Fees
Please note: To change your program, we will need to reassess your application. You may be asked to meet one or more conditions before you can be accepted into the program. Please forward the documents required to meet the conditions. You should not forward tuition fees until all conditions have been met and an unconditional offer is issued.
The tuition fee, quoted in Australian dollars must be paid along with the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) fee. The OSHC fee is a compulsory medical insurance imposed by the Australian Government for all student visa holders. If your spouse and/or family will be accompanying you to Australia you will be required to pay OSHC at the family rate.
Step 2 - Accepting the offer
To accept a place you will be required to make your first tuition payment, and forward the payment together with the signed Acceptance and Payment form. You may pay by telegraphic transfer, bank draft / cheque, credit card or online.
Check with your nearest Australian Diplomatic Mission (opens in a new browser window) to determine if you need to complete a Pre Visa Assessment. This must be done before you pay any fees to the University.
Step 3 - Confirmation of Enrolment
On receipt of your payment a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) document will be issued to you by the University. This document is used when you apply for a student visa for entry into Australia. A pre-departure information package will also be forwarded to you with the CoE document.
Step 4 - Enrol online
At UniSA students are able to enrol in their courses online (opens in a new browser window). This means, as an international student, you will be able to enrol online from anywhere, giving you the same choice as local students when it comes to organising a timetable.
Prospective international students on student visas should be aware of the visa requirements concerning enrolment and ensure their enrolment meets those requirements.
Step 5 - Travel bookings and arrival
Flights to Australia can be heavily booked during January, February and July. Please check with your local travel agent as early as possible for flight bookings. Once you have confirmed your travel arrangements, you can arrange airport pickup and temporary accommodation. This service provided by University staff, will ensure that you receive a warm welcome to Adelaide and the University.
Step 6 - Orientation and program commencement
The orientation sessions and activities introduce you to life in Adelaide and the University of South Australia. The workshops, tours and various other activities will familiarise you with your new environment and give you the opportunity to meet many other students who are beginning their study at the University.
If you are unable to arrive by the commencement date it is very important that you contact us. In most cases you will have to defer to the next available study period.
