Interior Architecture staff

Our internationally recognised and enthusiastic teaching team all have practice backgrounds and offer many opportunities to students, including off-campus design activities, involvement in community-based projects from conceptual design through to the fabrication and installation of small to medium scale projects, a range of workshop programmes including the design and fabrication of furniture items, interdisciplinary collaboration and a professional work-placement programme.

Joanne's particular research interests are in the professional status and directions of interior design practice, continuing professional education and user group consultation.

Jane LawrenceMs. Jane Lawrence (Senior Lecturer)
Jane is the Interior Architecture Studio Course Coordinator and the Schools’ representative on the Teaching and Learning Committee. Her teaching practises respond to cultural difference and expression, clear language, flexibility, regional specificity and socio-economic circumstances and form the basis of one of her research areas.

Annemarie HarrisonMs. Annemarie Harrison (Lecturer - Interior Architecture)
Annemarie specialises in Human Factors and has a research interest in human behaviour in the built environment.

Ms. Gini Lee (Lecturer - Interior Architecture)
Gini is interested in cross cultural and cross disciplinary design practices which span different cultural histories and narratives, and engage in collaborative associations between the disciplines.

Mr. Michael Geissler (Lecturer - Interior Architecture)
Michael lectures in studio, communications and materials and processes. He coordinates the Furniture minor stream and has exhibited his furniture pieces internationally and nationally.
