Nathan
Muller, a 2nd year Interior Architecture student from the Louis
Laybourne Smith School of Architecture and Design at the University of
South Australia won the 2004 DIA Australasian Student Interior Design
Competition.
Nathan’s project entitled “Transponding Matrix” was judged the winner from over 50 entries from 12 Interior programs throughout Australasia. The judges’ report said that Nathan’s winning design of a “lyrical and very beautiful wall of interlocking components made from fictional materials… demonstrated an ability to handle complex shapes in an assured and competent manner.” Nathan’s prize was a Wegner CHo7 Chair from Corporate Culture, plus a cheque of $250 from the Design Institute of Australia and 1 year’s student membership of the DIA
