Field trips

Students in Los Angeles, USA study tourThe Interior Architecture program offers many off-campus study opportunities to students, including off-campus design activities, involvement in community-based projects from conceptual design through to the fabrication and installation of small to medium scale projects, a range of workshop programmes including the design and fabrication of furniture items, interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in national and international student design award competitions. Students have the chance to participate in annual national field trips and regular international study tours. Recent field trips include the 2002 Spanish summer field trip to Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona, and the 2003 study tour to Germany including stops in Frankfurt, Hannover, Berlin, Dresden and Frankfurt.
Field trips are offered as a means for students to gain invaluable exposure to international design events, organisations and attractions. Students are encouraged to take the opportunity to experience the wealth of design expertise and varying approaches taken by our international counterparts, by such means as site visits to internationally recognised companies, manufacturers, museums, public works, conferences and design centres.Coffin Bay masterclass with Paul Pholeros, 'Better Designs Through Far Sited Teaching'
