Dear UniSA Representative,
Regarding Changes to the English Language
requirements for the UniSA Australian Registered Nurse
Training Program
The
Australian Registered Nurse Training Program (ARNTP) now
requires all students entering the program to meet the
following English Language requirements:
- IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall with a minimum
of 6 for each band (reading, writing, listening and
speaking), or
- Occupational English Test (OET) minimum of a B pass
or higher in all four sections
Please also be advised that the Nurses Board of South
Australia (nbsa) will only register graduates who have
achieved an:
- IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.5 in Reading
and Listening and a score of 7 in Writing and Speaking
with an overall band of 7 or greater; or
- Occupational English Test (OET) with a minimum of a
B pass or higher in all four sections
It is therefore important that the English Language
requirements for ARNTP be set at a standard that provides
the student the greatest chance of success in achieving
these results.
Please be advised that all conditional offers for the ARNTP
October 2008 and May 2009 intakes will be reissued with
these new conditions. Unconditional offers will not be
reissued nor will offers packaged with CELUSA. However, it
is important for these applicants to understand that these
new requirements have been implemented.
Additionally, any NEW students wanting a packaged offer with
CELUSA will be required to sit for an IELTS or OET at the
completion of their CELUSA program and meet the new English
Language requirements before being accepted into the ARNTP.
For further enquiries, please contact your UniSA
Representative.
Thank you.
Best regards from Staff at UniSA International
