Agreement between UniSA and Iranian ministries
On 15 June the University of South Australia signed an agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministries of Science Research and Technology and Health and Medical Education.
The Iranian government is keen to enrol students in UniSA Masters and PhD programs and to encourage research activities between UniSA and Iranian universities. The agreement will see Iranian postgraduate research scholarship students coming to UniSA.
Australian Scholarships Program
UniSA is now eligible to accept scholarship holders through all streams of Australian Scholarships. The program consolidates all the international scholarships offered by AusAID and DEST.
UniSA accepted 5 postgraduate students through the Australian Partnerships Scholarship program in the second half of 2006. AusAID established the program for Indonesian students in response to the 2004 tsunami.
HKABA-SA 2006 Award
UniSA won the Judges Award in the Hong Kong-Australia Business Association SA Chapter awards (PDF 382KB) night presented at the Sebel Playford on 18 August for expanding educational activities between Australia and Hong Kong.
ISTA / ATN Memorandum of Understanding
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the International Strategic Technology Alliance (ISTA) and the Australian Technology Network (ATN).
UniSA information in languages other than English
Information for prospective students is now available in 11 languages other than English linked from the UniSA International homepage.
Each webpage includes general information on studying at UniSA and living in Adelaide and South Australia and have a link to the Enquire Online which directs prospective students to the Service Centre for follow-up.
Information on the Australian Scholarships Program is also available in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Vietnamese.
Writing a painting
Part of the Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts 2006 (3-19 March), Writing a painting was a project of the South Australian School of Art exploring Australia’s relationship with China through recent work by locally based artists Helen Fuller and Robin Best, in association with Huang Xiuqian of Jingdezhen, China, and Nyukana (Daisy) Baker of Ernabella. UniSA International was one of the sponsors of the exhibition.
