Apply Online
UniSA International is one of the sponsors (with Student and Academic Services and Information Strategy and Technology Services) of the Online Application and ISIS Replacement Project. Apply Online went live in June 2005 and will fill the application gap in the international student services delivery experience across the student life cycle from enquiry to alumni. International students will be able to apply from any where in the world for a place at UniSA. For further information please contact Manager, Information Systems and Business Analysis Brian Pike.
International Website Project
The UniSA website is a key interface with domestic and international students. The International Website Project commenced in 2004 to provide an easily accessible launch pad for information about our international activities. Launched in August 2005, the new International website will reduce confusion for international prospective students and significantly improve usability. For further information please contact Belinda Kon, e-Project Officer.
Internationalisation of Research
The term ‘internationalisation’ is used by higher education institutions, including UniSA, to describe their response to the complexities of globalisation. In response to an AUQA recommendation UniSA International and Research and Innovation Services have developed an implementation plan to articulate and measure international activity in research collaboration, research education and research output. The implementation plan is linked to both the University’s Research and Research Education Management Plan and the University’s International Strategy 2006 – 2008.
Articulation and Pathways Project
Managing the number and increasing complexity of articulation arrangements and pathway programs is integral to building successful relationships with partner institutions. Identified as an International Priority for 2006, an Articulations and Pathways Officer has been appointed in UniSA International in 2005 to map current practice and identify potential improvements. For further information please contact Stephen Parsons, Manager, International Relations.
Review of English Language Support Services
A review of English language support services for international students was initiated through the Flexible Learning Centre. Anticipated outcomes of this review will include the communication of the range of support options available to academic staff and international students.
