Our approach
Universities, through their role of seeking, producing and transmitting knowledge, research and teaching, have always had an international outlook. However, the shape and purpose of internationalisation in the higher education environment have changed significantly in response to political, social and economic developments in local and global communities.
UniSA’s international strategy is embedded in our mission statement, goals and plans and is clearly outlined in key policies and codes, emphasising a commitment to the pursuit of scholarship, research and intellectual innovation that is responsive to the local, national and international communities we serve. This strategy underpins our position as an innovative and international university.
UniSA’s international strategy is articulated through progressive medium term plans, while annual goals and priorities, monitoring and evaluation are managed through the University’s corporate planning process, led by the Senior Management Group and University Council.
This planning process facilitates University wide planning and monitoring, in keeping with our aspiration to embed an international and intercultural perspective in all we do. Our process approach to integrating and embedding internationalisation is based on our organisational and program strategies.
