Registration

 

Do place the University's CRICOS Provider Number (00121B) on all written information to prospective
international students. This includes emails, letters, publications, advertisements or any other information used to recruit and promote University education and training services to international students.
 
Do ensure that a program you offer is registered on CRICOS. Only CRICOS registered programs can be offered to onshore International Students.  Programs must be approved by the Academic Board and be delivered in a full time internal mode. The online / distance education component must not exceed 25% of the entire duration of the program and at least one internal course must be offered every study period. Do Not promote or advertise in any way a program which approval and/or registration is pending or has been cancelled/suspended.

Marketing and Recruitment

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do ensure that the following information is provided to all prospective students prior to admission:
  1. program duration and general description of the content;
  2. the qualification or accreditation gained on completion;
  3. the teaching and assessment methods used;
  4. location of course delivery;
  5. details of any arrangements with other providers;
  6. description of facilities, equipment and learning resources;
  7. itemised list of all fees payable to the provider;
  8. information about the minimum level of English language proficiency, educational qualification and work experience required.
Do Not make any false or misleading comparisons between UniSA and any other education providers or their programs.
Do ensure that the marketing of UniSA education services are carried out with integrity and accuracy, and uphold the reputation of Australian international education and training industry. Do Not imply or suggest that students can come to Australia for any purpose other than to study full time.
Do give prospective students an accurate representation of Adelaide and the University, including the location of campuses and costs of living. Do Not advertise part time or online programs to students who intend to study onshore.
Do advise students that obtaining a student visa and adhering to its condition is entirely their responsibility. Do Not accept a payment from a student Unless the student has signed an Acceptance and Payment Form, and read the Guidelines on Refund of Tuition Fees for International Students.
Do direct students to their nearest DIMA office for information on visa requirements. Do Not advise students of visa regulations other then Student Visa. Refer them to DIAC office/website or migration agents.
Do inform the student of English language requirements or bridging courses when considered necessary.  
Do Not make verbal offers to students for programs if you are unfamiliar with the assessment and entry requirements.  
Do make sure you have valid evidence of English Language tests, eg IELTS or TOEFL results.  

Programs and Fees and RPL

Do refer students to Programs and Fees website as it is the most up to date information about UniSA programs available to international students. Do Not make promises about programs or fees other then listed in the officially advertised materials.

Refund of Money

 

Do emphasise that in case of the University or student default the money paid to the University will be refunded in accordance with the Guidelines on Refund of Tuition Fees for International Students. Do Not require students to pay money unless they have been made an Unconditional offer

Agents/Associates

Do check the Agents list on the University website to make sure that you are dealing with a contracted agent. Do Not deal with agents who have no current contract with UniSA.

Student Records

Do place a copy of all the documents received from the student as well as all the correspondence on their file.

Do remember that the University must keep students' files for at least two years after the student ceases study, and if audited by DIAC or DEST files will be required. This documentation is also important in case of a dispute.

 

Student Services

Do refer current students to International Student Advisory Services (ISAS) that provide a whole range of services
pertinent to international student personal and academic issues.
Do Not overload yourself with tasks that are pertinent to ISAS team including counselling and advising on study and personal matters.
