Construction organisations worldwide seek out well educated graduates with good communication skills from recognised tertiary programs. The Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics is the only construction management degree offered in South Australia and is one of the most accredited construction management degrees in Australia. If managing a team, applying technical and practical knowledge in a range of situations and analysing problems to complete large industry construction projects interests you, come along to the information session and find out what you could be doing after your university studies.
Urban and Regional Planning
Wednesday 9 December 2009
6:00pm - 8:00pm
BJ3-52, City East campus
Planning is about effectively designing and managing the shared spaces in which people live, whether this be in large regions or cities, or smaller towns, suburbs and neighbourhoods. Ensuring that our cities and towns are more ecologically sustainable, socially just and economically productive is at the heart of urban and regional planning. The industry is currently experiencing a shortage of planners so the graduate employment rate is high, with great starting salaries. If you are interested in planning as a career or have never heard about it before, come along to the session and meet the teaching staff, see the facilities, find out about employment opportunities and talk to students and industry representatives.

Mathematicians are employed to work on interesting projects in a wide range of industries including science, finance, engineering, agriculture and health science. If you are good with numbers and enjoy mathematics, come to the information session to find out about how mathematics is applied in industry and how you can make it your career. Graduates with a mathematics degree have a vast range of potential career paths and have well developed problem-solving skills which are highly valued by prospective employers. See your potential home campus and student facilities, talk to current students and meet the teaching staff.
