UniSAnet course specific learning guide:  Studio in Architecture and Design (Word document)

Students working on basic geometry problems with chalk on University GroundsOur design studio courses are tailored to encourage students to consider the relevant design criteria such as function, cost and appearance by using methodologies related to user needs, the environment, marketing and manufacture. From this process suitable concepts are developed and evaluated and the best design is then further developed through drawings, virtual and text models or working prototypes. Each studio is augmented by courses which aid students in developing skills, methods and knowledge appropriate to increasing the comprehensiveness of their design thinking and preparing them for lifelong learning. The structure of the program prepares graduates to be innovative problem solvers capable of developing comprehensive solutions to multi-faceted design problems by applying a thorough foundation of traditional design skills coupled with state-of-the-art technology and design methods.
