We are pleased to announce the following students have been added to the Chancellor's List for 2007.
Winners are chosen annually from each of our four MBA Programs around the world, based on the number of Distinction grades achieved in their MBA.
Dora
achieved the maximum 12 Ds, comprising 4 HDs and 8 Ds in her MBA.
Dora has worked for the Australian Taxation Office for 10 years, following a Bachelors Degree in Commerce. She entered our MBA in 2005 with a Taxation Commissioners Scholarship, winning the IBM Prize for Contemporary Management Skills, and the APMI Kaplan Prize for Sustainable Corporate Strategy.
Joe
Amon lives and works in Melbourne and completed the MBA in the
online mode, accumulating 4 HDs and 7 Ds. A triple Course Award
winner in the MBA, Joe won the 2007 Playford Capital Prize for
Entrepreneurship, the 2006 Management Research & Consulting Prize ,
and in 2005 won the Hudson Prize for Leading & Managing People.
Originally a graduate in Chemistry from SAIT, Joe worked for
Fauldings in Adelaide for many years before taking up his current
role in Melbourne as Senior Project Manager with CSL.
An
Accountant by profession, and career civil servant, Zheng Cheng Ping
completed his MBA in Hong Kong whilst working as General Manager of
Complant Ltd. He was responsible for management of the IPO for this
Group, which operates under the supervision of the Chinese
Commission for Large State Owned Enterprises. Following his MBA, (8
Ds), Zheng has now moved back to Beijing to run Hi-Star Import
Exports. In the 1990s he was a Deputy Director in the Chinese
Ministry of Commerce.
During
her MBA in Penang, Florine achieved 1 HD and 8 Ds, as well as
winning Course Awards in 2006 for Competitive Strategy and also for
Entrepreneurship. She works as Program Manager for the Consultative
Group of International Agricultural Research in Malaysia and is a
Member of the Malaysian Association of the Institute of Chartered
Secretaries & Administrators.
Gu
Bei completed her MBA with 1 HD and 9 Ds, as well as winning Course
Awards in 2006 for Competitive Strategy. After graduating from Shanghai
JiaoTong University in 1996, she worked in Singapore for many years
before taking up her current role in China as manager with Accenture
After
a long career as a telecommunications expert with Hewlett Packard,
Roland is now the Telco Solution Principal for BEA, the giant Silicon
Valley based business software developer. With both Bachelors and
Masters degrees in Computer Science, Roland’s performance in his MBA was
a total of 7 Distinctions. In 2006 he won the Institute of Training &
Development Prize as the top student in the MBA course, Leadership
Dynamics. Roland undertook the MBA with us in Kuala Lumpur.
Julie
Patterson completed the MBA with 2 HDs and 9 Ds, as well as having
won Course Awards for International Business and Sustainable
Corporate Strategy. Julie’s first degree was in Education, and she
now works for the South Australian Department of Families &
Communities as Manager of Homelessness and High Needs Housing
Strategy.
Now
living in Sydney, Sarah completed her MBA in the Online mode and
achieved 3 HDs and 8 Ds. With a background in the environmental
sciences, Sarah consults as a Senior Environmental Scientist to
Sydney Water. During the MBA journey, Sarah won the 2006 Course
Award for Competitive Strategy.
