This is now the highest official prize that an MBA student in our Programs can achieve. In each calendar year 8 new names will be added to the Chancellor’s List, and these recipients will also have this major academic prize formally recorded on their transcripts.
Only the top 2 students in each Program each year are added to the MBA Chancellors List. To be eligible for consideration a student must achieve at least 6 Distinctions from their 12-courses in the MBA. Most of this years winners achieved 9 or 10 Distinctions, with our top student achieving 12.
Two of the inaugural MBA Chancellors List Awardees, attended the ceremony Ms Elena Yeow (Malaysia) and Ms Mahin Mahjabeen (Bangladesh). In his address to the School, the Chancellor strongly supported the need for top quality MBA’s in the South Australian business community. He paid a special tribute to the families of all MBA graduates, acknowledging the sacrifices which are involved over several years to achieve an MBA.
Turning to the international nature of our activities, the Chancellor acknowledged the multi-cultural nature of our MBA Programs, and the unique challenges this presents.
Staff members from across the University attended the ceremony, including many of our sessional staff, and the family members of our Inaugural MBA Chancellors List winners.
