Transnational students
Applicants seeking admission to the GMR program, leading to the PhD program shall normally hold:
- An MBA degree, or equivalent, from an approved University or equivalent
or
- Where other Masters degree level qualifications are held, applicants may be asked to complete a prescribed bridging program (normally designated courses from an MBA program)
or
- An appropriate Honours or Bachelors degree with Honours of at least 2A standard from an approved University or equivalent higher education institution
and
- Substantial (no less than five years) experience at executive/management level
and
- A sound command of the English language, spoken and written, meeting the criteria as prescribed below:
andprovide evidence of having completed their previous Masters or Honours degree in English;
or
submit proof of having achieved an IELTS overall test score of 7.0 or higher, and a written sub score of 6.0 or higher.
- All applicants must submit a 500 word (minimum) outline of a proposed research topic/idea in business and management as part of their admission application submission. Where, during the application process, concerns are raised about the English proficiency of an applicant from either of the English language proficiency categories, the 500 word outline will be considered as an additional basis for assessment, as one of the conditions for acceptance into the program.
- Applicants must submit a detailed CV highlighting management and executive experience.
- Additionally, where, during the application process, concerns are raised about the English proficiency of an applicant, the applicant may be required to submit to an interview prior to acceptance into the program.
The final decision concerning the eligibility and acceptability of qualifications and professional experience for admission to the GMR program rests with the University of South Australia.
GMR students seeking to progress to the PhD program must possess a minimum P2 grade, with an average grade of P1 or above over the five courses, and satisfactory submission and defence of their PhD proposal with a grade of P1 or above.
The GMR is a full fee-paying program.
