Transnational students
An application form needs to be completed by the applicant, addressing the specified selection criteria headings: Education, Experience, English Language and Research. An application is only considered for assessment when the following are submitted:
- certified copies of any degrees, diplomas, certificates or official transcripts
- certified copies of IELTS Test Report Form where applicable
- area of research interest outline (500 words)
- a detailed curriculum vitae (CV)
- two passport sized photos, certified by the local program management partner staff (transnational applications only)
- application and/or first instalment fee (transnational applications only)
All documents must be in English and any translations must be accompanied by the documents in their original language. These documents must be submitted as original or certified true copies.

Advanced Standing (Credit/Exemption)
Credit is only considered for courses successfully completed at an equivalent (doctoral) level at institutions recognised by the National Office for Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR). Credit will only apply in respect to the coursework stage of the program.
Under no circumstances will consideration be given in respect of
the research stage. Applications for credit must be submitted on the
appropriate form available

Applications must be submitted before the commencement of the program to be considered.
Applicants may need to present their case in a way that indicates a clear understanding of the course/s for which credit is sought together with the appropriate documentary evidence. Tests may form part of the assessment process. When applying for credit the following items must be submitted for assessment:
- An official transcript for studies completed at a tertiary institution;
- A course outline or long form syllabus which gives details of:
- Topics covered;
- Number of contact hours;
- Assessment requirements and mode of assessment.
Candidates should note that applications for credit for courses undertaken more than five years previous are unlikely to be successful.
Credit is not provided for practical knowledge or experience.
Application deadlines
The scheduled closing date for application is at least one calendar month prior to the commencement of the intake. Applications submitted after that time will be considered solely at the discretion of the Head of School or nominee.
It is recommended that applicants submit their application eight weeks prior to the commencement of the intake to be considered for their preferred intake. International applicants should consider any necessary lead time for approval of a student visa for Australia where applicable.
All candidates are expected to attend an induction session in the first week of the semester, or as otherwise directed.
