Entry to the MBA program is on a competitive basis. The minimum formal entry requirement is an acceptable Bachelor's degree, plus at least two years relevant work experience. Individuals who hold a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Business Administration may also seek entry to the MBA program. As entry is competitive, admitted applicants generally have more than five years relevant managerial work experience.

Applications may be reviewed by a panel of IGSB academic staff. The MBA is an interactive learning process and is structured so that there are significant opportunities to learn from participant peers. Selection involves consideration of:

Although a formal selection interview is not part of the process, the selection panel may ask to meet/talk with a potential candidate for clarification of issues relating to their application.

Intakes are open each term (study period) and applicants need to specify the term (study period) in which they wish to commence their study. Terms (study periods) normally start in January, April, July and October. Applicants who miss the closing date for commencement in their chosen term (study period) will automatically be considered for entry in the following term (study period).

Applications for Adelaide (International students)

For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are:

For immigration purposes, candidates from certain countries are required to submit an English language test result as part of Australian student visa requirements. This requirement is separate from that required for the IGSB MBA. Please check if your country is included within this category.
