Our structure
The IGSB MBA is a 12 course program. The program requires the
completion of courses totalling 54 units. All courses are 4.5 units in value.
Because we recognise that MBA participants come from a range of
backgrounds with quite different needs for their professional
development, our MBA is offered in three different formats for you to
choose from:
- a comprehensive general management program (ten core courses plus two electives)
- a general management foundation program linked to a particular management specialisation (eight core courses plus four electives - three of which must be in the area of specialisation)
- a general management foundation program linked to a broad range of elective courses (eight core courses plus four electives)
The academic year is divided into four study periods, each of 11 weeks. Classes are generally held in the evenings, although some courses are delivered in intensive mode over full days and weekends or online. Full-time students are generally encouraged to undertake two courses per study period, and part-time students are generally encouraged to undertake one course per study period. However these are guidelines only.
Students may also apply to enrol in either the annual European Summer School of Advanced Management for two weeks in late June every year, or our annual Business in China Intensive School. Successful completion of either of these intensive programs, will result in credit being awarded for two electives.
