offers separate postgraduate degrees of a shorter duration than the MBA.
The Graduate Certificate (the first 4 courses of the MBA), and the Graduate Diploma (the first 8 courses of the MBA), are often undertaken by managers who need a management qualification, but cannot devote the time needed for the length and rigour of the MBA. Occasionally these two degrees are also used by students as milestones towards the MBA. Some very busy managers will undertake the Graduate Certificate over a 1-year period, and then take a break from study before returning to tackle the next 4 courses and earn the Graduate Diploma. After another break, they can then tackle the final 4 courses and earn the MBA. For some, this 'milestone' approach enables them to find a better balance between study, work and family
Both the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma are formal degrees of the University and are recognized as significant management qualifications in their own right.
