Internationalisation
For the IGSB, the often misused term
internationalisation has special and deep meaning. For us it means far more than teaching our programs around the world.
Our courses are built around an international focus, not just an 'add-on' case study! The curriculum design inculcates cultural differences, especially related to the management of organisations.
Bi-lingual teaching staff now represent about 30% of our faculty, and we teach our MBA in Mandarin across Asia, using our own translated course materials.
Internationalisation also means that our student body includes significant proportions of international students.
We are building international relationships and becoming involved in exchange programs with business schools around the world, adding another layer to our definition of being internationally focused. In 2004 we hosted 35 MBA students from the prestigious McCombs Business School of The University of Texas and in 2005 13 of the IGSB's MBA students attended the European Summer School in Denmark.
The IGSB has also identified a key strategic project focusing on the internationalisation of our research.
