Speaker series
This is the
Business Leader Speaker Series focusing on Careers. Annually, a small
number of CEO's representing a diversity of industries are selected to
share their insights. Dates, and speakers for 2008 are:
- Tuesday 8 April (Mr Mark Chellew, CEO Adelaide Brighton)
- Tuesday 1 July (Mr Rob McEniry, CEO Mitsubishi)
- Tuesday 30 September (Mr Mark Withers, CEO City of Charles Sturt)
The sessions will be held from 6pm to 7.30pm to fit in with the needs of our part-time students.
Speakers are guests of our Head of School Profesor Len Pullin, and are CEO's of major South Australian businesses who come along to discuss management philosophies, lessons learned, their industries, their company stories etc.
In so doing our MBA students glean invaluable insights into the issues which are important to CEO's in 2008, to understand their values and work ethic, and to gain an insight into some of the issues which need to be dealt with in order to be a successful organization in today's business environment.
The idea is for a relaxed "fireside chat" style - a 'conversation' with the MBA students, letting them see at close quarters what are some of the issues at the 'top of mind' for top CEO's.
