Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards 2006

Emerald Group Publishing Limited, publisher of the largest collection of international business and management journals, and EFMD seek to celebrate excellence in research by sponsoring the Annual Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards.

Award-winning entries will receive a cash prize of € 1500 (or other currency equivalent), a certificate and the prospect of an offer of publication in the sponsoring journal, as a full paper, or as an executive summary/research note, at the discretion of the Editor.

IGSB Doctoral Scholars Award

The IGSB strongly encourages our doctoral scholars to share their contribution to knowledge with the broader academic community through the publication of refereed conference papers and journal articles. Successful applicants will be awarded up to $A500 for approved refereed conference papers and up to $A1000 for approved refereed journal articles.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. This award is open to
  1. All candidates currently enrolled in the following IGSB programs: Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Business Administration; and
  2. Recent graduates of these programs with the requirement that publications appear in print within 3 years of conferral of the award.
  1. The publication may be solo or co-authored.
  2. The publication must have at least one University of South Australia byline.
  3. The publication must meet DEST guidelines http://www.unisa.edu.au/res/data/pubs.asp#guides .
  4. The details of the publication should be reported to the School at the end of each calendar year. Applicants will need to fill out the necessary forms and provide required documentation as per DEST guidelines.
  5. Publications will be audited in the beginning of the following calendar year. Publications that pass this audit will be eligible for the award.
  6. Successful applicants will be awarded up to AUD$500 for approved refereed conference papers and up to $A1000 for approved refereed journal articles. In the case of two or more authors who are eligible, the award will be shared on a pro-rata basis.
