Academic expertise
There are numerous
business schools operating around the world, and no business school can survive for nearly 20
years, as IGSB has, unless the
calibre of teaching and research staff is of the highest order.
Today, the IGSB has nearly 200 academic, adjunct and sessional teaching staff based in Australia and internationally. All of the core IGSB academic team are involved in teaching and research in one or more of our extensive range of programs.
All academic staff employed by the IGSB either have completed, commenced or are to commence doctoral qualifications. The postgraduate nature of the School and the teaching and supervision of doctoral programs leads to the actuality that the majority of core staff members will hold doctoral qualifications. All newly appointed staff will either therefore have completed or be very near the completion of their doctoral qualification.
Women form the majority of all IGSB staff, with the 65% of the total number of all staff within the IGSB being female. The percentage of female academic staff at all levels within the School is 37%, with one third of those being at associate professor level or above. This figure is an excellent example of the commitment that IGSB has towards female staff and encourages and provides role models for younger academic staff to aspire to higher academic levels.
In these pages you can seek and obtain information regarding staff areas of research interest; the blend of industry and academic experience which they bring to the IGSB; the scope of publications across management disciplines; and also the full details of how we organise our academic staff into
Doctoral and MBA teams.
Discipline and Course leaders play a key role in the development of
courses, ensuring quality control internationally and work in close
collaboration with Program Directors.
We are proud of our teaching and research staff, and the dedication they show to our students around the world.
