The first Malaysian graduating class was a big event for students from KL and Penang. The ones able to travel to Australia enjoyed visiting UniSA and being part of the graduation. A visit to our education facilities gave them a real feel for interactive learning. Most visited with family members and enjoyed visiting our wineries and nature parks.

The recent trip to the Adelaide Zoo for our Adelaide based doctoral candidates provided a great forum for networking and for candidates to meet some of the IGSB's teaching and professional staff. Further social events are planned for our doctoral candidates, with the aim of encouraging networking and socialising outside the school environment.

On Tuesday 1st August 2006, 110 students and Alumni participated in another of our MBA Career Services Workshops at the Sebel Playford in Adelaide. As part of our ongoing efforts to add layers of extra value to our MBA experience, the IGSB had brought to Australia, the internationally acclaimed speaker and writer, Bill Faust to run a special workshop on CV's. For nearly 2 hours, Bill entertained, informed and motivated our students and Alumni, with practical tips and advice to improve the likelihood that everyone's CV is more likely to result in winning more successful career appointments.

Teaching in Zurich for Intake 4 was a wonderful experience as always. As you can see there was a time to work and a time in the snow. The amount of snow that fell exceeded what had been experienced for March in Zurich for over 70 years.

Yet another group of MBA and DBA students who recently graduated in Zurich. We were fortunate to see blue skies long enough to capture the happy event. The cheerful celebrations continued in the afternoon with family, friends and new additions, the latest one only three months old. It was wonderful to see family travel from as far as Mexico to join the joyful occasion.

Graduation in Zurich was an exceedingly successful event. The Dean of SBS Swiss Business School, Dr Bert Wolfs went out of his way to make the day a success. The formal part of the Graduation ceremony was well attended by students their families and friends. Students received their parchments, had their photos taken and were then able to enjoy a well organised function in a beautiful garden setting.

Below is a photo of the Singapore 25 class at the end of their
intensive workshop for Leading and Managing People.
It is interesting to note that they were all still smiling and
joking by the end of the sessions. Truthfully it was a time that
demanded concentration and critical thinking yet was enjoyed by all.
