Mr Leigh Albertson
International Bank Manager
Leigh
Albertson has worked in the international trade finance and foreign exchange
industry for 25 years in Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia. This
experience was obtained by working in a variety of financial institutions
from the large global institutions such as Bank of America to small regional
banks.
During this time he has had significant exposure to international trade
financing techniques with particular emphasis on the financing of Australian
exports.
With the increase in global trade during this period he has seen a move away
from the straightforward and regimented one size fits all financing products
to innovative and specially structured financing methods.
Due to the diversity of both products and countries that Australian goods
are now being shipped to it is essential that the financial risks associated
with these sales are correctly identified and managed. If a deal looks to
good to be true it usually is.
It is essential for Australian exporters to have a good and close working
relationship with their trade finance provider.
