Why
study in South Australia?
The driest
State in the worlds driest inhabited continent, South Australia is a world leader in
innovative water management. It is at the forefront in the development of unconventional
sources of water, re-use of water, advanced water treatment technologies, novel and
efficient systems design and analysis methods, and pioneering methods for groundwater
evaluation. Underpinning these advances is the international leadership of the Joint
Universities Masters Program (JUMP) academic staff in a wide spectrum of scientific
and engineering areas.
Students may work with an inter-disciplinary team of researchers in
such fields as hydrogeology, aquatic chemistry and microbiology, urban hydrology, and
water systems engineering. This ensures students the best available expertise.
South Australia is the home base of several water
agencies with an international reputation in water quality and treatment,
groundwater, water distribution, and stormwater management.
