Workforce Planning and Corporate Planning

Workforce planning is integrated within the existing corporate planning process through the inclusion of specific targets for planning purposes. The workforce planning priorities will support corporate success by articulating linkages between the achievement of corporate objectives and local business outcomes.

The workforce planning component of the corporate planning process will focus on agreed priorities in order to support corporate priorities and local level workforce needs.

The 2008-2010 priorities for People and Services, as contained in the Corporate Plan 2008-2010 are:

• Academic staff qualifications
  % of Academic staff with a Doctorate
• Staff gender – senior women
  % of female academic staff at Level D and E
• Attraction and retention of talent
• Workforce demographics
