Once the leave form has been processed by Payroll Services, the staff member will be able to view the booked leave online.
Removing
automatic payroll deductionsYou may wish to consider whether it is necessary to cancel or reduce these deductions for the leave period.
Ensure you have activated an out of office email or voicemail message stating you are currently on leave, the estimated date of your return, and who to contact in your absence.
It may be necessary to give another staff member or manager access to your email folder, and to divert the phone to a colleague to manage your calls.
Contact your Union if you would like to suspend your membership for the duration of your leave.

If you have a novated lease vehicle, you will need to continue lease payments whilst you are on unpaid leave. Contact the Salary Sacrifice Officer for further advice on Ext 21786.
If you possess a car parking permit, you can cancel the permit by applying in writing to Tenix Solutions for a fee cancellation. Payments will be cancelled no sooner than one month after the cancellation notice has been lodged.
If you are currently acting in a role within the University e.g. OHSW representative, please notify the person responsible for the management of the role, to arrange a replacement for the period of leave.
Whilst on leave, your position may be temporarily filled or your desk may be required for other purposes. Please ensure that your desk space is free of personal belongings and clean for the next person.
