Superannuation decision tree

The Decision Tree will assist Managers and Human Resource Administrators to determine:

• the superannuation plan the staff member is required to join,
• the superannuation clause to include in the Employment Agreement,
• the UniSuper booklet to be distributed to the staff member.

Follow the prompts and click the appropriate links to take you through the process.

UniSuper Defined Benefit Division                  =     DBD
UniSuper Accumulation 1                                 =     Accum 1

Assumptions

• staff member commenced their employment after 1/1/1992
• staff member does not have an existing UniSuper DBD/Accum2, Super SA Lump Sum or Pension Scheme membership (check UniSA Info)

Existing members of UniSuper DBD/Accum2

Include one of the following superannuation clauses in the letter of offer:

The staff member's current superannuation arrangements will continue for the duration of this fixed-term contract.

or

The staff member's current superannuation arrangements will be maintained. (If a continuing staff member)
