Superannuation
The superannuation staff can assist with your general superannuation
enquires such as:
- Advising new and existing members of UniSuper the options that
are available
- Understanding salary sacrifice information
- Referral for super home loans
- Disability claims assistance
- Referral to UniSuper & State Super web
- Transfer of superannuation from/to other universities
- Assist with roll over from other funds
- Superannuation quotations for:
- UniSuper Defined Benefit Plan
- Impact on your benefit if you reduce service fraction, 48/52, 4/5,
leave without pay or payment of additional allowances etc.
- Disablement benefit
Options that are available include:
- Salary sacrifice of payroll superannuation deductions
- Death & disability insurance
- Spouse account with UniSuper
- Fortnightly voluntary contributions
- Lump sum payments to super funds
- Payroll deductions to UniSuper, Super SA, private and self
managed super funds
- Benefit statements on leaving employment
Salary sacrificing
The Salary Sacrificing Officer can assist and advise you of the
benefits that the University offers for salary sacrificing. Services
include:
- Assisting staff with vehicle lease information
- Fringe benefit tax information (including reportable fringe
benefits)
- Salary sacrificing University car parking fees
- Salary sacrifice reimbursement information (including laptops,
professional membership etc.)

Payroll
The payroll specialists will assist with your payroll enquiry,
including:
- Clarification of payslip information
- Arranging fortnightly net pay disbursements into multiple
nominated bank accounts/financial institutions
- Assisting with changes to taxation details
- Preparing payroll deductions
Payroll deductions are available to continuing and fixed term
contract staff. Such payroll deductions can be arranged to a number of
institutions including:

Please note: You may cancel or vary any of the specified
deductions by giving two weeks notice in writing. With respect to
certain deductions, such as insurance, union etc, you will also need to
give the appropriate notice to the institutions in accordance with any
applicable membership rules.
