Examples of question types

There are six true question types. The seventh question type, "Heading text" is not a true question but can be used to create headings within the survey.

  1. Single response (Radio button)

Single response (Radio button)

Respondents can select only one option from radio buttons as shown in the image below.

Multiple response (Check boxes)

Respondents can select more than one option by checking the relevant check boxes as shown in the image below.

Respondents can select more than one option by simultaneously pressing the Ctrl key on the keyboard and selecting options from the list with Left mouse clicks as shown in the image below.

Order response

Respondents can reorder answer options by selecting from the drop down list as shown in the image below.

Respondents can type a text response answer into the text box as shown in the image below.
