Discussion groups overview
Discussion groups provide a convenient and effective way of communicating and collaborating with teaching staff and other students online. The discussion groups used in UniSAnet are asynchronous threaded discussion groups. This means that participants may contribute at any time—they don’t all need to be online at the same time. A discussion within a course is password-protected and only other members of your group can access the messages. As a participant you ‘post’ a typed message, which is stored on a server. Other discussion group members can then ‘post’ a reply, which will appear on the list under the message they’re replying to. This format of messages allows you to follow the thread or progression of the discussion.
