Staff home page images
When adding images to your staff home page, the following steps must be followed to ensure University Web accessibility guidelines are met.
Note: These instructions refer to adding images within the body of the page, not the photo of yourself positioned in the top left of the page.
Step 1 - Resize image for the Web
Use a graphics program such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint.NET to resize images to the following standards:
- Resolution - 72 pixels / inch
- Dimension - no larger than 500 pixels wide or 500 pixels high
- File size - less than 25 KB
Step 2 - Transfer images to the server
Email the images to your campus Online Adviser, providing the following information:
- Heading text that will appear above your images.
- Descriptive captions that will appear below each image.
- The order (top to bottom) in which the images should appear.
Your Online Adviser will create a folder for you on the UniSAnet server and transfer the images into it.
Step 3 - Insert HTML code into your staff home page
Your Online Adviser will email you the HTML code that will link the images on the server to your home page.
- Copy the HTML code from the email.
Insert the code into your home page using the following instructions:
- Open your staff home page.

- Click Change at the bottom of your home page, as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The log on window will open.

- Enter your user name and password.
- Click OK.
The change information window will open.

Click the Change button to the left of the Introduction heading as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The change introduction window will open.

Paste the code into the next blank text field.

Click Save and Return.
The change information window will refresh.

Click return to homepage as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
