Why am I unable to see a questionnaire when I open the SET link on my course home page?

The automatically generated link to the SET on each course home page is only available for students enrolled in the course - a staff logon will result in the message "There are no new SET questionnaires available".  Staff need to view their SET questionnaires via the SET instrument.

How will students know that an online SET is available ?

The SET generates an automatic email to students every morning for any SET that opened on the previous day.

Who can view my results?

Only Heads of Schools, Deans: Teaching and Learning, and Pro-Vice Chancellors can view SET results.

You will be able to access all classes where Medici lists you as an Instructor. If you log into the SET database and cannot access a course it is likely that your name is not listed in Medici as an Instructor  for the course. To have your name added to Medici you can:

I want to become a School SET Administrator. What do I need to do?

Professional staff in Schools can be granted School administrator access to the SET for all courses within the School (or all courses within the School offered in a particular mode). SET School administrator access can be requested by contacting the campus Online Adviser. Please type UniSAnet - SET Administrator Access in the Subject field of the email. You will receive an email application form that needs to be completed by either your Head of School or School Manager/School Executive Officer, and returned to the Online Adviser for action.

I am a School SET Administrator. Can I give other Professional Staff data entry access?

Yes. Professional staff can be given access to enter data collected from Manual SETs. Please refer to the help instructions on Provide staff  access - Data entry staff.

I am a School SET Administrator but still can not find a particular course when I search. Why?

The course you are searching for might be affiliated with a program administered by a different School.

As a Course Coordinator do I have to give/can I give other staff access to create a SET?

No. If a staff member can not access their course it is likely that they are not listed in Medici as an Instructor  for the course. To have their name added to Medici they can:

I cannot see a link to SET when I am creating CEIs for my courses. Where has it gone?

The link to the SET has been removed from the CEI as the CEI and SET databases are now completely separate.

Can my SET be published manually so that my students can fill it out in class?

Yes, SETs can be published manually. However School administrative staff assistance is required so approval must first be requested from the relevant School Executive Officer. Please also refer to the help instructions on Schedule and Publish.

My SET was completed manually. Can I have someone else enter the data for me?

Yes. Your School CEI/SET administrator can give professional staff data entry permission.

Why can’t I find my course when I search for a course?

The most likely reason is that your name is not listed as a Course Coordinator or Instructor within the Medici record for your particular course. The easiest way to check this is by visiting your Course Information page and checking if your name is listed in the Course Coordinator section or in the attached Class timetable. If you are not listed in either place and you want to have your name added to Medici you can:

Are SETs created automatically?

No. Each teaching staff member who wants to have a SET will need to create one.

Can I change the dates the online SET is available once it has opened?

Yes, you can but only before the "Available from" date of publishing. If you have passed the "Available from" date, then you need to contact your campus Online Adviser for assistance.

Can I change the core SET questions?

No. The core SET questions are mandated by the University’s Teaching and Learning Committee and cannot be omitted or changed.

Can I add more questions to the core SET questions?

Yes, you can add one extra text response question to the 13 core questions – meaning you can have a SET with a maximum of 14 questions. Please refer to help instructions on Add questions.
