System check and Centra software installation
If this if the first time you have used Centra, you will need to run a System Check to determine if your computer meets the minimum requirements (see Centra computer requirements) including software (and software configuration) and hardware. The CentraOne client software required to run Centra will load automatically during the System Check. You can access the System Check directly by clicking here or via the link in your Centra email invitation and then following the directions below.
Access Centra by clicking the event access link in your Centra email invitation. The following window will open:
- Click the System Check link, as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The following window will open and the System Check will verify that your Internet browser is compatible with Centra.
- Click the Continue button if you see a Passed! result.
The following window will open and the System Check will verify your network settings:
- Read the message on the Security Warnings screen (as shown above)
and in each of the following windows that appear:
- click Yes if you have Internet Explorer installed, or
- click Grant if you have Netscape installed.
The following window will open when the network setting check has finished:
- Click the Continue button if you see a Passed! result.
The following window will open indicating that the CentraOne client software is being installed:
After the software has been installed the main Centra event window will open and you will see your name listed in the Participants panel. The Centra Audio Wizard (see Centra Audio Check) window will appear when you first enter the event. Follow the steps to test your headset and microphone or speakers. The following window will open when the Audio Check is finished:
- Click the Exit button (as indicated by the arrow, above) if you have passed all the System Checks.
