Centra computer requirements
To successfully use Centra, you will must have the following computer hardware and software installed. Don't worry if you're unsure about the software that is installed on your computer because Centra will detect this during the System Check.
Software
- Windows 98, 2000 or XP
- Internet Explorer 5.0 and later OR Netscape 4.5x, 4.7x, 7.0 and later.
Hardware
- 28.8 kbps or faster Internet connection
- combination headset and microphone, OR
- external speakers and microphone.
Note: A USB (Universal Serial Bus) headset is recommended for best performance and ease of connection. USB is a standard that supports fast data transfer rates between a computer and a peripheral device. Late model computers have at least one USB port that can be used to connect devices such as headsets, speakers, mice and keyboards.
