Return assessment items
Markers can return marked assessment items with feedback and a grade to the student. An email containing links to the returned assignment (and any associated comment files) is automatically generated and sent to the student.
Note: Where the Course Coordinator has set up AssignIT for an Exam and selected NO to the option Show grades to students no emails are generated or sent to students when you enter marks into AssignIT. Instead the marks sit in AssignIT ready to be pushed into Results Entry as a grade when AssignIT is finalised by the Course Coordinator at the end of the study period.
Before you can return assessment items you need to:
Once you have selected a course the AssignIT Course Summary window will open.
- Click Return as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The Return assessment items window will open.
- Select the assessment item you want to return from the drop down list.
The Return assessment items window will refresh, displaying classes associated with the marker in Medici.
To select classes for which you want to return marked assessment items:
- Tick All classes to select all classes in the list.
OR - Tick individual classes.
- Select what you want to return to students.

Option 2 Return feedback and grade only
Option 3 Return feedback and grade only (Using feedback form)
Option 4 Replace or remove a returned file
Option 5 Enter marks for an Exam
