Can I replace or remove a returned file?
Yes. You can replace a returned assignment by overwriting it with a new
one, or you can simply remove the existing file. You also have the option to
download the file to make further changes. See

AssignIT will send another email notification to the student when the new file is uploaded. To avoid confusion about this email, it is recommended that you include an explanation in the Summary commentary to student text box .
Note: This process does not stop the student accessing the incorrectly returned assignment and grade or the anxiety this might cause. It is recommended that you include an explanation in the Summary commentary to student text box.
Can I print assignments in bulk?
Yes. It is possible to print multiple files at the same time from
Windows Explorer. See

Can I send the assignments I
will be marking to Document Services for printing?
No. Only Course Coordinators have the ability to send files to Document
Services. Ask the Course Coordinator if the assignments you will be marking
can be printed by Document Services.
How do I get access to AssignIT to create assignments for a course?
Only Course Coordinators can create assignments. Ask the Course
Coordinator about using AssignIT in the course.
I am a tutor/lecturer. How can I get access to AssignIT to collect and
return assignments for my student group?
All assignments must be created in AssignIT each study period by the
Course Coordinator. You must be added as a marker by the Course Coordinator
before you can access the assignments. Contact the Course Coordinator to
discuss using AssignIT in your course. If you know that you have been added
as a marker and wish to begin using AssignIT, please refer to the
'Markers' section of this Web site for
instructions on collecting and returning assignments.
Why can't I see the course/assignment in the list?
If you cannot see the relevant course or assignment when you log in to
AssignIT it means that either you do not have access to the course because you
have not been specified as a marker by the Course Coordinator, or the Course
Coordinator has not created any or all of the assignments for the course.
Why have I received duplicate AssignIT email alerts for some of the
assignments in my course?
They are not duplicates. An email alert is sent each time a student
resubmits an assignment. Check the 'submitted date' in the alert message
body—the submitted date and time will be different in every alert.
I do not wish to receive email alerts. How can I stop them?
The Course Coordinator sets the alert option. Ask the Course Coordinator
to turn off the alert option for you.
