Create new assessment item. Option 3: the assessment item will be Non-graded pass/fail, and students will submit it via AssignIT

Selecting this option is necessary when the assessment item will be marked with a Non-graded pass/Non-graded fail notation, and you want students to submit their assignments via AssignIT.

Create a non-graded and submission item

  1. Select Non-graded Assessment for Is this a Graded assessment item?
  2. Select Yes for Will students be submitting files via AssignIT for this assessment item?
  3. Enter the assessment item title.
  4. Select the Graduate Qualities being assessed.
  5. Enter the assessment item weighting.
    Note: The combined weighting for all assessment items for the course must total 100%.
  6. Enter the maximum file size that students can submit.
  7. Click the drop down arrow and select the number of files that can submitted by each student.
    Note: Allow for an extra file if students need to submit a cover sheet. Read the cover sheet alert
  8. Enter instructions for students. (Optional)
  9. Select to generate an online feedback form. (Optional)
  10. Click Next.

If you selected the Feedback Form option

The Key Components window will open.

  1. Enter the assessment item's key components.
  2. Select the Graduate Qualities being assessed by each key component.
  3. Click More for additional key components.
  4. Select the required feedback options.
  5. Click Next.

Step 2 : Select file types that can be submitted

  1. Click the Document Services printing required check box if you want assignments printed by Document Services. Open instructions for completing this step.
  2. Select the file types that students can submit.
  3. Click Next.

Step 3 : Select classes who can submit the assessment item

  1. Click Course (All classes in course) to create the assessment item for all students in the course
    OR
    Click Selected classes in course to create assessment items for selected classes.
  2. Click Next.

The Create a new assessment item - Confirm save window will open.

  1. Click Confirm if assessment item details are correct.
  2. Click Edit to make changes.
     Note: The Step 1 window will open, allowing you to move through the sequence of steps to make corrections.
