Staff alert
You can nominate staff to receive an automatic email when students submit assignments.
Note: To prevent unnecessary emails it is a good idea not to set up staff alerts until AFTER the due date of the assignment so that markers are only notified of late assignments.
Before you can alert staff you need to:
Once you have selected a course the AssignIT Create or edit assignments window will open.

- Click Staff alert as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The Staff alert window will open with a table of staff and the classes they are associated with.

To activate the alert for a specific staff member:
- Click individual class checkboxes or the "select all classes" checkbox.
- Click Save.
Note: Follow the Provide staff access instructions if the required staff member is not listed in the table.
The Staff alert - Confirm update window will open.

- Click Confirm if the information is correct.
The Staff alert has been successfully updated window will open.

To add additional staff alerts:
- Click Staff alert in the navigation menu on the left.
If you don't need to add additional staff alerts:
- Click another option in the navigation menu on the left.
Note: Consider creating a rule in your Outlook Inbox to automatically move AssignIT alert emails to a specified folder.
