Crop image
The process of cropping an image involves selecting the part of an image that you want to display and deleting the rest.
- Open the image you wish to crop.
The image will display in the Paint.Net window.
You might want to change the image magnification if you need to view the image more clearly for detailed editing.
- Click the Rectangle Select button on the Tools
window as indicated by the arrow on the image above.
Note: If the Tools window isn't visible; press the F5 key at the top of the keyboard.
- Left click the image and holding the mouse down, drag the rectangle border to highlight the area to be retained; as
indicated by the arrow on the image above.
Note: If you're not happy with the selection, click and re-define the highlighted area.
- Click Image.
- Click Crop to Selection.
