What is the Student Ambassador Program?
The Student Ambassador Program is an exciting opportunity for you
to be actively involved in promoting your program and the University to
future students while also gaining valuable professional skills and
training.
Our Student Ambassadors represent the University at events such as Open
Day, campus tours, career and program information sessions, and
secondary school career events.
As a Student Ambassador you will talk with prospective students about
student life and UniSA
programs, particularly your program and those within the Division of
Health Sciences.
What are the benefits of being a Student Ambassador?
- Gain valuable experience in public speaking and professional communication, which are sought after skills by many employers.
- Meet new people and build your network of contacts.
- Demonstrate your willingness to actively seek personal and professional development opportunities and take on a volunteer role, both traits sought after by many employers.
- Access professional development training in a variety of areas.
- Receive training to equip you for the Student Ambassador role.
- Receive a Certificate of Involvement and Letter of Recognition to add to your CV.
What skills do I need?
Student Ambassadors need to be confident, have good communication skills
and demonstrate initiative. It is also imperative that you are
enthusiastic, positive and honest about your UniSA experiences.
This is a volunteer position but opportunities for further paid casual
employment within the University could arise as a result of the program.
In order to apply you must be available to complete the training and a
maximum of 30 hours over the year.
